Thrilled at Honor

I was recently honored by receiving the 2025 Irene Hart Award from the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging. They discussed the various volunteer services I have done in the Wichita, Kansas community over the last three decades.  An article also appeared in the July issue of The Active Age.

I, of course, was thrilled to be honored this way, although what I do is not for being honored. It is because I love working with the older adults in the area. I am a firm believer that age doesn’t define me, nor should it define anyone. It is not a restriction on learning or taking chances at doing something outside your comfort zone.
