Last night was Carnival Night at the local senior center I volunteer with. So many people turned out! It was wonderful.
We did this a couple of years back, pre-Covid. The idea came from our memories of grade school, from Fun Night. We decided that if kids can have fun, we can too. Children don’t have the corner to have a good time with friends.
We had the usual activities: fishing pond, cake walk, and duck pond. And there were Frisbee throws, ring toss, frog races, mini-golf, miniature bowling, and many more events. Everyone got some kind of goofy prizes either for themselves or to take home to grandkids.
All that mattered was we had fun together, laughed, teased, danced, and tried our hands at silly little games.
